Trophy Trout Fishing

Unicoi Outfitters offers trophy trout fishing on several private streams managed for trophy trout. These streams provide fly anglers with the opportunity to fish for rainbow and brown trout that are measured in pounds rather than inches. A management plan developed with years of experience that provides optimum fly fishing for state record-sized fish. While many successful days on the water result from trips on our streams, the fish are certainly not pushovers. All private trophy streams (with the exception of Nacoochee Bend) require booking with an experienced Unicoi Outfitters guide.

We have customers from all over the world visit these streams on a regular basis, and many of our customers find that a trip to one of our streams makes an excellent alternative to, or warmup for, an out-west fishing trip. We are currently fishing the following streams:

• Nacoochee Bend - Our flagship tropy section of the upper Chattahoochee River near Helen
• Frog Hollow - trophy rainbow trout in the Chestatee River near Dahlonega
• Noontootla Creek Farm - excellent fishing with sporting clays and bird hunting available near Blue Ridge
• Mountaintown Creek - trophy trout fishing near Ellijay

Please note that all trophy trout waters are restricted to fly fishing only, all fishing must be done with a single barbless hook, and all fish must be released unharmed.
